Rohnert Park highlight
Proximity to wine country and the Sonoma wine region
Sonoma County is home to 495 wineries and more than 397,000 acres of vineyards, making it one of California's largest wine-producing regions.

The Sonoma wine region began in the early 1800s, when Russian and Spanish settlers first planted vines. In 1855, Hungarian viticulturist Agoston Haraszthy arrived and brought more than 100,000 cuttings of premium grape varieties from Europe, transforming the region. By the 1920s, Sonoma County had 256 wineries operating with more than 22,000 acres under vine. Phylloxera and Prohibition devastated the industry, but by the late twentieth century the wine region rebounded: today Sonoma County has 495 wineries and over 397,000 acres of planted vineyards.
Sonoma County produces wines recognized around the world, especially Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley, along with Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon. The region produces so many wine grapes that it far outproduces the Napa Valley by volume, making it one of California's largest wine-producing regions. The proximity of Rohnert Park to these vineyards and tasting rooms makes the region's wine culture accessible to residents and visitors alike.
A wine region draws people together: family gatherings in tasting rooms, weekend trips to vineyards, celebrations marking seasons and milestones. Those occasions anchor memories, and the income that makes them possible anchors families. A life insurance policy is the way to protect what makes those occasions possible—the earnings that would pay for childcare, mortgages, and the daily expenses that let a family gather at all.
